The first camera I ever owned was a Sony Handycam, 2005 edition. Back then, days were spent reenacting Jackass, climbing trees, and jumping off bridges-capturing every wild adventure just the way teenagers do.
If you told that kid what he’d be building in 2025, he wouldn’t believe you.
It all started with a single shoot for a friend in June 2024. That moment changed everything. I left the stability of my career as a General Manager in the fitness industry to chase a dream that had been with me since childhood.
That background in fitness management gave me a unique perspective. I didn't just want to take photos; I wanted to understand the businesses we were capturing.
2025 changed the game. The year that we didn’t just grow the business; we physically built it. Pouring our heart and soul into hand-building the JL Purpose Media HQ in Glasgow was one of the hardest, most rewarding challenges of my life. It stands today not just as a studio, but as proof of what happens when you commit fully to a vision.
I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to turn my passion into a brand—let alone alongside my best friend, who has truly become family.

If you had told me a few years ago I would have left my job in 2024 to start a media business with one of my best friends, I would have told you that you're mad!
However, taking that risk was one of the best decisions I made and the last few months have been some of the most challenging & equally rewarding of my life.
Over the past few years, I had a Sony camera that I would take "silly" videos & photos on to edit, but purely as a hidden hobby with no intent to post online; ironically, I was always very camera shy and didn't think anyone would like what I did! Little did I know that this insecurity would actually lead to something bigger in the future.
I've always had a passion for people and story telling, so when we started this venture, I'd naturally jump at helping people be confident in themselves in front of camera to share their stories; ultimately, seeing people's reaction to themselves through our work is priceless!
Working with the amazing people I have over the past few months has really built my confidence in my work and helped me define what my own purpose is in life, and for that I will always be very grateful.
